Countdown to…Nothing?

Have you ever waited in anticipation for something, for what seemed like forever. Only to then have an anticlimactic situation occur when the count down ended?

That's kind of what it feels like with Google's "mobilegeddon" moment. People expecting to look at their rankings today and see a gigantic difference may not have seen any changes at all.

Rest assured the results are brewing, and it's just a matter of time before we see the true impact of the latest algorithm changes Google is making. Search Engine Land references a French Google blog post that says "You can not definitively determine whether the ranking of your site is affected by this update as soon as April 22. We will begin to deploy mobile optimization update April 21, but it will take about a week for it applies to all pages of the index."

So stay buckled up, the ranking ride is about to begin.
